How we make a difference.

Thanks to our generous donors, the Olympic College Foundation has been supporting students, staff and the college since 1993. In fact, it’s difficult to find a person or program at Olympic College that hasn’t benefitted from our work. Whether it’s awarding more than $300,000 in scholarships for the 2021-22 school year, equipping the state-of-the-art College Instruction Center, supporting OC’s groundbreaking archaeological field school at Yama Village or supplying welding safety equipment to a formerly homeless student, the Foundation and our community of donors transform lives.

Why I give.

  • “I can’t think of a better place to give the money than to the Olympic College Foundation. You can see clear results from these donations.”

    Jim Sund

  • "I’ve personally had students sitting across the desk from me with tears in their eyes because the Foundation paid for their certificate or provided a scholarship."

    Gayle Dilling
Gayle Dilling Professor, Early Childhood Education, Olympic College
  • “It’s a wonderful thing to be part of. You feel like you’ve made a difference. Seeing (students) going out and getting their lives together and finding their way is the best possible return on your day.”

Spotlight

Sometimes your darkest days become your guiding light. That’s what happened to Joe and Olympic College played a life-changing role.

In 2014, he ended an abusive relationship after learning his partner lied about his HIV status. When Joe found out he was HIV positive, he’d never felt so scared or alone. He coped with methamphetamine and alcohol, beginning a long battle that took a toll on his physical and mental health.

He was lost and broken. He felt worthless. But out of the darkness, he found his purpose. Now he’s training to help other addicts turn their lives around.
