In OC Foundation News

Friends of the Olympic College Foundation,

I take a break to walk around campus most days, and recently I’ve found myself contemplating new beginnings as I meander around OC. Spring has reached the plants and trees that have been lying dormant all winter and are now showing signs of being energized and ready for another season of growth. When seeing the abundance of new beginnings all around me in the natural world, it is easy to draw parallels. I see Olympic College Foundation in a time of new beginnings as we, too, are energized and ready for investing in stability and growth alongside all of you, our partners.

A few weeks ago, I joined colleagues from the Healthcare Expansion Phase 2 Steering Committee on a trip to Spokane to learn about the impactful partnerships between multiple universities, the city and other organizations to

create Spokane’s healthcare-centric University District. It was quite informative and inspirational, and our learnings will help us as we plan for the Foundation’s role in the OC Healthcare Expansion project. It was also nice to spend time with several colleagues and community partners, building relationships and strategizing partnership opportunities.

In between talking with donors about new gift agreements or gift agreement alterations and orchestrating the Foundation’s role in Kitsap Great Give (a big thanks to those who contributed!), I attended the half-day Kitsap Women’s Summit hosted by the Greater Kitsap Chamber and Leadership Kitsap. What an energizing day of learning from and alongside other women about what inspires us and helps to cultivate hope during these tumultuous times.

This is the last week for students to apply for general scholarships to impact their 2025/2026 academic success. It is also Spring Break at OC, and we start a new quarter next week. OC and the Olympic College Foundation give students the opportunity for new beginnings. And you, our donors, make that possible when it might not otherwise be.

Thank you for investing in the work we do in support of student access, achievement and success. Thank you for contributing to new beginnings here at Olympic College.

Happy Spring!
