In OC Foundation News

Dear Friends of Olympic College,

As we announced a few months ago, the Olympic College Foundation has recently restructured to better support student access and achievement. We have a new team and thought we’d take a moment to introduce ourselves!

Kimberly Cizek Allen (she/her) joined Olympic College Foundation as our Director of Fund Development earlier this year. Prior to joining the team at OCF, Kim worked as the Interim Executive Director at Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center and began her fund development career at Kitsap Humane Society. Kim grew up in Kitsap and is a 2004 alumni of Olympic College, participating in the Running Start program. Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Linfield College and worked as a Registered Nurse for over a decade.

Dedicated to advancing social justice, Kim finds great joy in using her skillset in support of local non-profits working towards a better future for humans, animals and our planet. When not working, you can find Kim wandering the forest looking for mushrooms or peering over dock edges marveling at the underwater world.

Joanne (Jo) Delaney comes to us with 24 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector having held fundraising and operations positions at universities, social service agencies and environmental organizations. Jo realized she found her true calling from the personal joy she experiences when bearing witness to a community coming to the aid of others to make the world a better place.

Originally from Philadelphia, Jo is a graduate of George Washington University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Systems. Jo’s guiding principle is in knowing that small decisions, even if only occasional, can add up to something impactful over time. For her, it’s small decisions over the past two decades that have led her to us.

In her spare time, Jo enjoys hiking, reading, making jewelry, and cooking plant-based meals. As of late she has become an accidental gardener. Her spirits soar when outdoors amidst the natural splendor of the Pacific Northwest.

Samantha Fairweather (she/her) comes to the OC Foundation with over 10 years of experience working with nonprofits. She learned early on in her career that she wanted to give back to her community and make a positive impact on people’s lives. Samantha has worked in various industries including animal welfare, immigrant rights, hospice care and nonprofit children’s dental.

Samantha strives to improve equity, accessibility and awareness through advocacy at each place she works. Born and raised in Kitsap County, Samantha graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She now lives in Bremerton with her spouse, their two dogs and their cat. In her down time, Samantha enjoys reading, baking, tending to her dozens of house plants and going on day trips to explore the Pacific Northwest.

We look forward to getting to know you all in the coming months. We are so grateful for this community who supports student access, achievement and success alongside us.

In gratitude,

The Olympic College Foundation Team
