The “Decisive Moment” was a phrase used by photojournalism icon Henri Cartier-Bresson to describe the climatic instant when a great photograph is captured. Whether it’s peak sports action or a subtle emotional exchange, photojournalists capture the decisive moments of our world and our time, recording history through captivating, timeless images.
The exhibit features the work of a half-dozen photojournalists, including former Kitsap Sun photographer and local legend Larry Steagall.
Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments during our Opening Reception 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, October 18, in OC Bremerton’s Art Gallery, Building 7. Admission and parking are free.
The exhibit continues through December 6. Gallery hours: 10am-3pm Tuesdays through Fridays and 11am-2pm Saturdays.
Co-curated by OC Art Professor Marie Weichman and OC Journalism Professor Michael Prince.
