THE GLOBAL HEALTH DIVIDE. What is Global Health and why should we care about it? Using examples from the developed and developing world, a public health expert reveals how researchers adapt to cultural, economic and structural differences to fight disease.

Pooja Bansil ’97 is a public health researcher with expertise in the areas of reproductive health, HIV infection and chronic diseases. She has worked as an epidemiologist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is currently a project manager with PATH, a Seattle-based global health nonprofit.
