Sometimes your darkest days become your guiding light. That’s what happened to Joe and Olympic College played a life-changing role.
In 2014, he ended an abusive relationship after learning his partner lied about his HIV status. When Joe found out he was HIV positive, he’d never felt so scared or alone. He coped with methamphetamine and alcohol, beginning a long battle that took a toll on his physical and mental health.
He was lost and broken. He felt worthless. But out of the darkness, he found his purpose. Now he’s training to help other addicts turn their lives around.
